axomera
Achilles tendon pain

We find the point that triggers the pain.

A chronically stressed Achilles tendon requires patience. As a reference centre for Axomera therapy, we search for the pain-triggering point along the tendon path with millimetre precision and treat it bioelectrically — with the goal of alleviating pain and regulating the disturbed tendon remodelling.

Clinical picture

Tendon remodelling that requires patience.

It often reveals itself at the first step after getting up — a pulling, stiff pain over the heel that only eases after a few metres.

The Achilles tendon pain is a painful irritation of the Achilles tendon, usually due to overuse — typical in runners, joggers, and cyclists, but not only.

It manifests as activity-related pain with morning stiffness, often with palpable swelling or thickening over the tendon.

Patients

What patients report.

Typical findings

From our patient consultations and the medical reports submitted.

  • Complaints for usually 6 or 12 months
  • More than 3 doctors consulted — no lasting improvement
  • Pain mainly in the morning after getting up and under load (e.g., jogging)
  • Swelling or thickening over the Achilles tendon
  • Trigger: Overuse
Previous therapy

Almost always in this order.

  1. Painkillers
  2. Anti-inflammatory ointments
  3. Physiotherapy (eccentric stretching training)
  4. Cortisone
  5. Injections (cortisone / PRP)
  6. Shock wave
  7. Surgery recommended
Where we make the difference

Cortisone injections and shock wave therapy do not work for everyone, and repeated cortisone administrations can further weaken the tendon — if the remodelling disturbance persists, the question of surgery often arises in the end.

Axomera for Achilles tendon complaints.

Achilles tendon pain is usually not an acute inflammation, but a chronic tendinopathy: tendon remodelling lags behind the load, the irritable state becomes fixed. The Achilles tendon lies just under the skin along its entire course and is very precisely accessible from the outside.

Axomera starts at this tendon region: computer-controlled electrical signals in the dimension of cellular electrical fields are placed with millimetre precision along the affected tendon segments. The goal is to shift the disturbed tendon remodelling back in favour of a resilient collagen structure.

One millimetre decides whether the field lies on the affected tissue or next to it. That is why we scan beforehand.

Our approach

How we proceed with you.

Every therapy needs its own examination — for us, this includes the Axomera diagnostics and the Axomera therapy.

Axomera diagnostics
  1. Secure the diagnosis and check the influence of taken medication
  2. Millimetre-precise examination — localising pain points along the tendon path
Axomera therapy
  1. 4–6 Axomera treatments, targeted at these points
  2. Goal: significant reduction of pain and inflammation
  3. In favourable courses: freedom from symptoms and return to sport

Aims & course of treatment. We cannot guarantee a specific result — the progression is individual. Depending on the course of the condition, fewer or more treatments may be required.

Patients report

Individual cases.

Case 01 / 02
For six months, severe pain in the Achilles tendon, under the foot, and at the ankle — climbing stairs and standing for a long time at work were a problem. After other therapies had not helped, I received Axomera. After just two days, it got better, after another two treatments, I was symptom-free.
